Faith, Super Heroes in Training! Hebrews 11:1 tells us faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. What does that mean? Faith protects us from the sin of the world like an invisible shield around us. We are all living in a world full of sin, so how can we live in the world but not be of it? FAITH! God's protective barrier and seal around us. Not out of our own strength or power, but of God's. HE surrounds us and protects us so we can help other people know how GOOD God really is. Joseph is our superhero this month to show us how to respond to bad things with FAITH and LOVE for the people who hurt us the most. What about you, super hero in training? Do you have faith even in the toughest of times? Faith requires us to know GOD IS and He is a REWARDER of those who diligently seek HIM! Hebrews 11:6
Do you know God? Do you believe He rewards those who diligently seek Him? Write out the word faith and what it means in your own words. Write down three ways you can tell people about Jesus and what He has done for you. Do them!

A Hero in God's eyes has heart! They want what God wants and they have faith that God is who He says He is- and will do what He says He'll do! As we look at King David in the Bible we can learn a lot about drawing near to God and knowing God is bigger than any problem or situation in our lives. We can all be heroes because of our faith in God. Do you have heart? David told King Saul in 1 Samuel 17, "Don't lose heart because of this Philistine!" He loved God and in Acts David was referred to as a man AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART! King David was just a shepherd boy at the time he met Goliath, but GOD went before him and won the battle. We can be a hero like David. Trust God more, spend time with God, get to know Him and who He is. Rise up, HEROES! See you next month!
HEROES with HEART VLOG series for kids focuses on being a true hero in God's eyes! A hero means He Exalts Righteous Ones! Jesus exalts people who love him to do big jobs. In Genesis 24 Abraham's "nameless" servant who was in charge of his entire household was called to be a HERO! He was given a big job and he asked questions first, which is okay! We can inquire of the Lord, we can seek out understanding. The servant prayed, he obeyed, and then he prayed again. Jesus helped him every step of the scary way! Like an Oreo cookie, we need to sandwich our obedience with prayer and praise! The servant was a Humble, Helpful Hero! Are you living out your life right with God? Do you KNOW THE BIGGEST HERO of all time?!! JESUS, the Savior of the universe! He is our strength and our source of power. Only through that relationship and reservoir of energy and power can we accomplish anything good in our lives. When you know Jesus He can make you a HERO through his strength! We can be a HUMBLE, HELPFUL, HERO!

We are getting close to the end!! One more week to finish out our 52 weeks through the Bible! Jesus is Coming Back... and there are going to be signs and things we need to know. The Bible is Truth, and all throughout it tells of how planet earth will end, and how eternity will begin. There are 5 major things to watch for and remember.
1.) Jesus is Coming Back 2.) The Mark of the Beast 3.) World Wide Suffering 4.) The Antichrist 5.) Satan Will Lose & Jesus Will Win Watch and see! Hello, friend! Christmas time is almost here!! When I think of Christmas, I think of a very special guest coming to my house... or the arrival of a baby! Having three kids, I know the excitement a newborn baby brings. That same feeling of happiness and anticipation is what I feel at Christmas. Advent means the arrival of a noitable person, event, or thing.
Advent in the church didn't always relate to Christmas. At first, over 1700 years ago when Advent got started, it was actually a celebration of Jesus' baptistm and the celebration of "Epiphany" or when the Magi came to see the child, Jesus... for the new christians, who were being introduced to what it mean to be a true Christian. Advent later changed it's focus to Jesus coming, again... His second coming. Today, we celebrate Advent four Sundays. Two Sundays about Jesus' birth, death, and ressurection, and two Sundays looking forward to him coming, again. We live in a cool time. It keeps getting closer to Jesus coming again, and we know how he died on the cross and rose again for our sins. Advent is a neat time of reflection and anticipation of Jesus coming again. Enjoy this Christmas, but remember, He is coming!! Let the world know!! We all need to be ready! Hello, friend! Peace vs. Friction... there seems to be a lot of people rubbing each other the wrong way. Even with Christmas coming up, a lot of people seem to be grumpy and mean to each other. In the Bible there was this stuff called, The Balm of Gilead, which was a medicine they rubbed on wounds, sores, or hurt spots on their bodies. It came from Gilead. Would it surprise you that God is called The Balm of Gilead? Not me, either! Jesus is our Healer and our Peacemaker. In Isaiah 9:6 He is also called The Prince of Peace. The only way we can become peacemakers is to know the Peacemaker, Jesus. Enjoy Christmas! Stop and look at the beauty and wonder. Jesus is the Prince of Peace!
Hello, friend! When Jesus fills us up, He can flow out into more and more people. We all are called to do "missions" right where we are. Nobody can do it alone. Jesus uses us as vessels to pour out into other people, as we are going! Acts 1:8 and Matthew 28:19-20 will help us see how! He takes us on a GREAT ADVENTURE! Enjoy the ride!
Hello, friend! The Antichrist will be an actual person who comes to our earth and ushers in the end times... we will talk more about that in a couple weeks. But for now, what does "anti" even mean? "Anti" means opposed or against, so the Antichrist will be someone who is opposed or against Jesus Christ, himself. The armor of God is really important to think about because we need to be ready for whatever comes our way. We need to think about the true enemy, the devil. We also need to think about the different parts of the armor and what Jesus wants. Sing and learn with me!
Hello, friend! Jesus teaches us a lot about what HE can do with a little in Matthew 13:31-32. You might not have a lot of money, but He enjoys using a little to do a whole lot! It might seem sad when people don't have a lot of money, but what is worse is "Ultimate" Poverty... when people don't know Jesus. When we give people things they need to live, like water and food in Jesus' name, He can use that little to save their souls. The poor need us to give what we can so they can help others later. Jesus is counting on us to listen and trust Him. Watch and see!
