"Lead them to the Cross"

The Three W's in Waiting!

Hello, friend!  Do you like to wait?  What about at home when your momma is fixin' supper and you are HUNGRY... is it fun to wait? No? What about when you want to go to a friend's house to play, but first you have to wait until you get your homework done... do you find yourself getting anxious, maybe even angry?   I know I do!
Waiting is a huge part of life.  We have three choices when we are waiting... we can 1.) Waste our life 2.) Wish it away.... or 3.) WATCH!  Looking at Abraham's great-grandson, Joseph's life- will help us to see that even though he waited 13 YEARS, God was faithful and took care of him.  Joseph could have missed out on so much if he would have let the waiting get to him.  Instead, he trusted God and watched.  GOD made it possible for Joseph to wait well and put him in a position that God was able to use him to save his family.
Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the LORD, shall renew their strength.  They shall mount up with wings as eagles.  They shall run and not be weary.  They shall walk and not faint."  Wait on Jesus!!

What's So Good About Good Friday?

Hello, Friend!  Today is one of the saddest days of the year for me... but also one of the most exciting!  Good Friday is when Jesus died on the cross for our sins.  He bridged the gap so we could go to heaven... watch and see!

Easter is coming!  Jesus was buried in the tomb, and was raised from the dead on Easter Sunday!!  We are all sinners (Romans 3:23), we deserve death, but God gave us a gift of salvation and forgiveness through my best friend in the whole world, Jesus!! (Romans 6:23).

We need to TELL others about Jesus!  Why?  Because Jesus is AWESOME and we want other people to go to heaven, as well!  If you know Jesus, tell YOUR story.  Others need to hear it!!

Palm Sunday- The "Egg"cellent Egg!

Hello, friend!  This Sunday is a very special Sunday!  It is what most churches call "Palm Sunday".  We celebrate when Jesus came riding on the back of a donkey and the people were yelling, "Hosanna!  Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!  King of Israel!"  John 12:12 is where we started.... and we looked at three different types of Eggs...

1.)  Bad Eggs (Many of the Pharisees and Sadducees who didn't really love God)
2.)  Good Eggs (The people who heard of how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead and who loved God)
3.)  The Perfect Egg (Jesus)

This Object Lesson will help you understand that Jesus had many friends and many enemies.  Many loved God and they were kind to Jesus.  Many did not love God and so they were mean to Jesus. However, Jesus came anyway for everyone who calls on His name.  The good eggs hailed Him as KING!  The bad eggs were jealous and were wanting Him stopped!  This would be fun to share with your Sunday School Class or parents!  JESUS is the "Egg"cellent Egg!!

Listen to the song that goes along with it by clicking this link;)!  I Just Wanna Be a Sheep

Respecting Authority!

Hello, friend!  Politicians, Kings, Rulers, Preachers, Teachers, Police Officers, and Parents... What do they all have in common, and what do they have to do with me?  We are all under their AUTHORITY. Who establishes authority and why? In Romans 13:1, we know that all authority, even now, is chosen by God!  What about the "bad" ones?  That doesn't seem right... we will never fully understand why God allows or does things the way that He does, this side of Heaven, but we need to trust Him...and respect authority. God is the maker and sustainer of Heaven and Earth.  He is in charge.

The Bible is the Ultimate Authority, and He holds all things together. Colossians 1:17... King David had to learn to respect the authority of King Saul, even when he didn't deserve it. We need to ask God to help us trust Him more. The Bible will help us to see God's promises more clearly.  Keep seeking God, read your Bible- on your own.  He will help you to trust Him and respect the authority in your life!  I am praying for you!

The Good, Good Father!

Hello, friend!  We have been singing a song at church called, Good Good Father.  It is a sweet song about God, our FATHER, being good, and us being loved by Him.  It got me thinking about God being in charge of ALL things, and that is a relief, because He is GOOD.  Looking at our earthly daddy will help us understand our Heavenly Daddy.  Four major things that we need to remember about God, our Father.... He is our Creator, Provider, Corrector, and He loves us UNCONDITIONALLY!

Our earthly daddy's are a reflection of God, however, they are just people.  People sin.  Sometimes our earthly daddy will let us down, but God- our Father, never will. Get your Bibles, your pens, highlighters, and journals, we have some learning to do!

God delights in us... pray to God, our Daddy, in Jesus' name... He is listening.  He wants to LAVISH His love on you.  The good, good Father is waiting to hear your voice.  The more time you spend with your Daddy, the more you will be like Him.

Abraham's Test!

Hey friend!  Do you like tests?  Maybe in math, reading, writing... or do your palms get all sweaty, and you get nervous inside?  Well, Abraham was tested by God.  God told him to sacrifice the son he waited his whole life... Abraham passed.  He knew that if God was going to tell him to do that, He was able to raise Isaac from the dead!  God provided for them by giving them a ram to sacrifice instead of Isaac.

In life or in school, you will have periods of testing.  Trust that if Jesus leads you to it, He will lead you through it!  Be prepared by spending time with Jesus now, so when you do have tough times, you know God is able  take care of all your needs!  He is good!  We can trust Him!  I am praying for you!

Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the Lord; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.  Psalm  68:4-5
